Our take
Charge 6 is for people who bounced off smartwatches. They wanted health tracking, not a second inbox. The band form factor wins on comfort and on “I forgot I was wearing it,” which is the only way a tracker works long term.
Google Wallet and music controls are nice if you already live in that account. They are not why you should buy it. Buy it for all-day heart rate and a battery that does not nag you every night.
Read the subscription story before you purchase. Core tracking should still be useful without paying extra. If the app nags you constantly, that is a product smell — decide if you can ignore it.
