Our take
A second DualSense is not a luxury if two people play. It is the difference between “we can play tonight” and “someone is on a keyboard.” The haptics and adaptive triggers are why it does not feel like a generic pad on PS5 games that support them.
On PC it is a strong all-rounder if you like Sony’s layout. Pairing is straightforward. Keep a USB cable in the same drawer as the console — dead pads are how game nights stall.
Stick drift is a known industry problem, not a reason to avoid the pad entirely. Buy where returns are easy and do not store it under a pile of other gear.
